কিডনি ডায়ালাইসিস কি সারাজীবন করতে হয়

কিডনি ডায়ালাইসিস হচ্ছে একটি প্রসেস বা প্রক্রিয়া। প্রতি মুহূর্তে বিপাক কার্যক্রমের ফলে মানবদেহে তৈরি হওয়া বর্জ্য শরীর থেকে বের করে দেয় কিডনি। মানুষের শরীরে যখন কিডনি কাজ করে না, তখন অনেক ধরনের বর্জ্য পদার্থ জমে যায়। সেজন্য কিডনির বিকল্প হিসেবে বর্জ্যগুলো পরিশোধিত করার যে প্রক্রিয়া, সেটিকে ডায়ালাইসিস বলা হয়। অর্থাৎ কিডনির বিকল্প হচ্ছে ডায়ালাইসিস।

ডায়ালাইসিসের ধরন

অধ্যাপক মিজানুর রহমান জানান, ডায়ালাইসিস দুই ধরনের হয়, হিমোডায়ালাইসিস ও পেরিটোনিয়াল ডায়ালাইসিস।

রক্ত পরিশোধিত করার প্রক্রিয়া হচ্ছে হিমোডায়ালাইসিস। রক্তের মাধ্যমে ফ্লুইড শরীরের ভেতর প্রবেশ করানো হয়। পরে ডায়ালাইসিস যন্ত্রের মাধ্যমে রক্ত পরিশোধিত করা হয়। এসময় রক্তে জমে থাকা বর্জ্য, লবণ ও তরল ডায়ালাইসিস যন্ত্রের মাধ্যমে ফিল্টার করা হয়।

হিমোডায়ালাইসিস আবার দুই প্রকার। একটি হচ্ছে মেশিনবেজড ডায়ালাইসিস এবং অপরটি হচ্ছে অ্যাম্বুলেটরি ডায়ালাইসিস, যা বাড়িতে বসে নিজে নিজেই করা যায়।

পেরিটোনিয়াল ডায়ালাইসিসের ক্ষেত্রে পেটের ভেতর একটি ডিভাইস বা ক্যাথেটার বসিয়ে দেওয়া হয়। সেই ডিভাইসের মধ্যে ডায়ালাইসিস ফ্লুইড দেওয়া হয় আর তা পেটের ভেতর গিয়ে রক্ত পরিশোধিত করে আবার বের হয়ে আসে।

Kidney dialysis is a process. Every moment, the waste produced in the human body as a result of metabolic activity is removed from the body by the kidneys. When the kidneys do not work in the human body, many types of waste products accumulate. That is why the process of purifying the wastes as an alternative to the kidneys is called dialysis. That is, dialysis is an alternative to kidneys.

Type of dialysis

Professor Mizanur Rahman said, there are two types of dialysis, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

Hemodialysis is the process of purifying the blood. Fluids are introduced into the body through the blood. The blood is then purified by a dialysis machine. During this time, the wastes, salts and fluids accumulated in the blood are filtered through the dialysis machine.


Hemodialysis is again of two types. One is machine-based dialysis and the other is ambulatory dialysis, which can be done by oneself at home.

In peritoneal dialysis, a device or catheter is inserted into the abdomen. Dialysis fluid is injected into the device and it passes through the abdomen to purify the blood and then come out again.
