প্রথম দিনের ৩৫ ওভারের পর বৃষ্টির কারণে দুই দিনের বেশি সময় খেলা হয়নি। বাংলাদেশ ও ভারত একদিনে আড়াই দিনের খেলা পুষিয়ে দিয়েছে। কানপুর টেস্ট এখন শেষ দিনের উত্তেজনায় রয়েছে, ফল আসার সম্ভাবনাও রয়েছে।
গ্রিন পার্কে আজ চতুর্থ দিনে মেহেদী হাসান মিরাজ বিভিন্ন রঙের পরিবর্তন লক্ষ্য করেছেন। তিনি স্বীকার করেছেন, কানপুর টেস্ট তাঁর জন্য একেবারেই নতুন অভিজ্ঞতা। এই অলরাউন্ডার বিষয়টিকে একটি শিক্ষা হিসেবে উল্লেখ করেছেন, ‘টেস্ট ক্রিকেটে অনেক সময় এমন পরিস্থিতির সম্মুখীন হতে হয়। যেহেতু খেলা দুদিনে শেষ হচ্ছে এবং আগের দুদিন বৃষ্টির কারণে খেলা হয়নি, এমন পরিস্থিতি আগে কখনো হয়নি। এখান থেকে আমাদের অনেক কিছু শেখার আছে, আমরা শিখতে পেরেছি।’
দিনজুড়ে উইকেট, বৃষ্টি এবং ছক্কা-চারের ঝড় চলেছে—১২টি ছক্কা, ৬০টির মতো চার, ১৮ উইকেট এবং ৪৩৭ রান। মুমিনুল হকের অসাধারণ সেঞ্চুরিতে প্রথম ইনিংসে বাংলাদেশ ২৩৩ রানে থেমেছে।
