শেখ হাসিনাসহ ৯ জনের বিরুদ্ধে ট্রাইব্যুনালে গুমের অভিযোগ পেশ করা হয়েছে
মাইকেল চাকমা শেখ হাসিনাকে প্রধান আসামি করে ৯ জনের বিরুদ্ধে আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালে গুমের লিখিত অভিযোগ দাখিল করেছেন।
সোমবার (৩০ ডিসেম্বর) সকালে তিনি এই অভিযোগটি ট্রাইব্যুনালে জমা দেন।
এ সময় তিনি গুমের সময় ব্যবহৃত গামছাটি, যার মাধ্যমে তার হাত বাঁধা হয়েছিল, সেটিও ট্রাইব্যুনালে উপস্থাপন করেন। তার সঙ্গে ছিলেন বিশিষ্ট নৃবিজ্ঞানী অধ্যাপক রেহনুমা আহমেদ।
২০১৯ সালের ৯ এপ্রিল নারায়ণগঞ্জের কাঁচপুর এলাকা থেকে সাংগঠনিক কাজ শেষে ঢাকায় ফেরার পথে মাইকেল চাকমা গুমের শিকার হন। মাইকেল চাকমাকে উদ্ধারের জন্য ইউপিডিএফ, তার সহযোগী সংগঠন, প্রগতিশীল ও মানবাধিকার সংগঠন, শিক্ষক-নাগরিক সমাজ এবং পরিবারের সদস্যরা বিভিন্ন কর্মসূচি পালন করেছেন।
হাসিনা সরকারের পতনের পর দীর্ঘ পাঁচ বছর ৩ মাস পর গত ৭ আগস্ট অবরুদ্ধ অবস্থান থেকে মুক্তি পান মাইকেল চাকমা। ওইদিন ভোরের দিকে চট্টগ্রাম থেকে মুক্তি পান তিনি।
Disappearance charges filed against Sheikh Hasina and 9 others in tribunal
Michael Chakma has filed a written complaint of enforced disappearance against 9 people with Sheikh Hasina as the main accused at the International Crimes Tribunal.
He submitted this complaint to the tribunal on Monday (December 30) morning.
At that time, he also presented the towel used during the disappearance, with which his hands were tied, to the tribunal. He was accompanied by eminent anthropologist Professor Rehnuma Ahmed.
Michael Chakma was abducted on April 9, 2019, while returning to Dhaka after completing organizational work from Kanchpur area of Narayanganj. UPDF, its affiliates, progressive and human rights organizations, teachers-civil society and family members have held various programs to rescue Michael Chakma.
Michael Chakma was released from the blockade on August 7 after a long five years and three months after the fall of the Hasina government. He was released from Chittagong in the early hours of that day.
